Academic Achievement – Class of 2029

Top of the page for a reason! Vino has been an “A” honor student since 4th grade. “My studies are first priority as I get home from school but after that, if there is still sun, I’m going to play or practice.” As he transitioned into higher grades, Vino has been able to maintain straight A’s as well as being invited into advanced studies of Math and English. He was presented with the Principal’s Award during his graduation ceremony of 2022. “This award is given to a single student in the entire graduating class. Its purpose is to recognize the student that was most well rounded during the school year” said Dr. Mike Henderson (Principal). A very proud moment for both student and parents. Vino looks forward to attending a university with a strong golf program as he decides on his major.

Vino has continued to make strides in the classroom as he was recently awarded a POG certificate for being an INNOVATIVE LEADER from his Middle School Principal Mrs. Perry. Vino was nominated by his Chinese Language teacher Ms. Liao. Ms. Liao mentions in her nomination for Vino that “he consistently demonstrates a high level of respect for both his fellow students and diverse cultures. His ability to collaborate effectively in group settings, coupled with his welcoming and inclusive nature, makes him a true role model and leader in our class.”

Vino receives the honor of an Exemption to the Regionals for the Junior Golf national Championship 2024

Vino will be registered in North Carolina Regional on August 7 & 8 but will first be playing at the University of Georgia Regional on June 29 & 30.

Spring has sprung for 2024…

Vino will be chasing his first junior ranking points this season as he prepares for 8th grade golf next year.

Early Spring tournaments were challenging and lots of fun.

HV3 Qualifier at River Bend!

Vino being youngest in the field of 84 boys, mostly 2024 & 2025 graduates, did well and learned some important lessons in this single day qualifier. Shot an 8+ and only missed the cut by 4 strokes.

TYGA Junior @ River Landing!

Vino was again the youngest in the field of 75 players. This 36 hole event had cold rain and a frost warning as we all were hoping for nicer spring weather. Vino was in 17th place and improved his placement by 4 on the 2nd day.

Winter 2023…..

2023 Winter runner-up in points!

Vino was able to hold onto 2nd place lead in overall points after a cold hard winter tour at Pinehurst. Spring is not far away now!

Southeastern Cup was great Fun!

Vino and Brooks grinded to a 69 the first day in cold and wet conditions.

Vino takes 1st place at Pinehurst No.5 with a score of 76

Vino just turned 13 and is now competing in the 13 – 14 age group at US Kids.

2023 Winter Tour Begins!

Pinehurst courses are used in the US Kids Winter Tour.

Tied 5th place

Very challenging Pinehurst #9 began with frost delay and Vino recovering from the flu, was still able to enjoy the day and grind to a good finish with his friend Marc.

2023 Fall season Championship!

A superb effort in the fall season brings Vino a Championship title and back-to back Championship wins!

Points leader – Fall 2023

With a commanding lead in points, 165, Vino earned an invite to the prestigious Southeastern Cup being held in Myrtle Beach, Barefoot Resort in January 2024.
